In a spaceship, Storm travels to the Red spot of Jupiter, to do research on this mysterious phenomenon. However, the spaceship get pulled into the red spot en when it’s released Storm sets home for Earth. But Earth has changed. The oceans are gone and Storm goes on a journey travelling over the soil which once was the bottom of the Great Pacific.
He teams up with Ember and Kiley, two freedomfighters against the dictatorship of Ghast, a cruel barbarian. Underneath the city of Ghast, Storm, Ember and Kiley discoveres a new city: Mandros. Here they are welcomed by a hologram who informs them about what happened over the last thousands years. The oceans can come back by a mechanical way which happens after a fight with Ghast on life or death. The water returns and Storm and Ember escapes on a holografic raft.
