After a disagreement about royalties for the Trigan Empire, Don left Fleetway and began working for the Dutch publishers, Oberon, who were publishing a new magazine called Eppo. Together with the editorial staff (Frits van der Heide and Martin Lodewijk) Don created Storm. The first story was written by his good friend Vince Wernham, but it wasn’t considered to be successful. Various writers followed suit, until Martin Lodewijk permanently took over the writing of the strip. From this point on, the strip was subtitled "The Cronicles of Pandarve".
